STEAM After School

C3 Cyber Club offers an After School program that is far above average. We provide professional tutoringthat focuses on building STEAM knowledge and skills in a way that kids enjoy!

We’ve taken the time to build up the ideal STEAM program over the last few years. We’ve researched and written curriculum that covers the key areas of Science, English, and Math. The areas of Science, English, and Math are weekly classes that we focus on for improvement. We offer computer courses and art projects for the Technology, Engineering, and Art areas on a rotating basis. We focus on each of these areas for 6-8 weeks at a time. Our program includes homework help and we’re told by students that they do better in school due to our program.

Our tutoring is like none other in the area. Rather than have one teacher cover multiple subjects, we bring in a qualified teacher for key subjects. That means the Math teacher, for example, has the time to focus on developing curriculum and helping kids with Math, versus having to worry about other topics.

Another core element of our tutoring program is that we tailor tutoring to each student. We do placement tests for each subject so we can focus on tutoring in the exact areas your child needs help. We follow the Virginia Standard of Learning for teaching. All our curriculum is aimed at helping your child perform better on their end of year tests.

Finally, our center has a vibrant atmosphere with other fun options. This helps kids to feel like they’re less in a classroom, and more ready to have an adventure – whether that’s starting a computer class, an art project, or a tutoring session.

● Covers the critical STEAM areas of Science, English, and Math on a regular basis.The Technology, Engineering, and Art programs are offered for 6-8 weeks at a time and rotate throughout the school year. The Technology area includes Programming, Robotics, & Coding.

● Has Tutors that specialize in their subject. For example, the Science teacher focuses on tutoring Science, not other subjects

● Regularly engages kids in hands-on projects so they learn more deeply by applying STEAM concepts

● Gives kids digital tools to apply STEAM concepts, so they gain impressive computer skills along the way

● Gives kids a huge head start in computer skills. Kids learn age-appropriate robot, video, and graphic design skills so they graduate the year with amazing digital projects including Virtual Reality video games, 3D models from 3D printing, Lego robots, live animation, game design, 3D printing, and more.

● Develops critical thinking, problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills through teacher instruction, individual projects, and our group setting.
